VEGAN THANDAI

Ingredients:-

GROUND SPICE MIX

  • 1/8tsp Cardamom powder or 1 green cardamom
  • 1/2tsp poppy seeds
  • 1/8tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 black peppercorn
  • 1/4tsp saffron
  • 5-8 Dry watermelon seeds

Dry Grind:-

  • 20gm raw cashews as fine as possible.

THANDAI:

  • 250ml Almond milk
  • 1-2tsp raw sugar
  • Garnish with chopped pistachios and a few saffron strands.

Methods:-

  • In a blender, add the ground cashew and spice mix, Add almond milk and blend well until smooth.
  • Add almond milk and raw sugar or maple as needed. Blend and chill for at least an hour, to let the spices infuse in this drink.
  • Give it a mix before serving, garnish with chopped pistachios and a few saffron strands.

NOTES:-

  • For a large batch of the spice mix. Dry grind and keep in an airtight container, refrigerated for a few days. 1/2tsp cardamom powder or 2-3 cardamom ( elaichi), 2tsp poppy seeds ( khus khus), 1tsp fennel seeds ( saunf), 5-6 black peppercorns ( kali mirch), 3/4tsp saffron ( Kesar), 1tsp watermelon seeds ( magaj)
